IT Telemarketing campaigns

3rd August 2017 News 0

IT Telemarketing is fun because techies get excited about new tech.

And rightly so, they are after all able to understand it on a level that makes their passion show, and it’s a rapidly changing market. IT telemarketing is fun and it’s an absolute pleasure to work with them, calling for them and TO them to discuss something that makes them come alive. I love to be able to say I love my job and mean it.

I may be in the Highlands now, but having moved up from the Thames Valley area (Bracknell, then Wargrave then Goring, Abingdon and Didcot areas) and working on IT and IT Security campaigns for the last 13 years, I know how to carry out a successful campaign both targeting IT companies, and calling FOR IT companies.

IT guys whether they’re a client of mine or I’m calling them are fun to talk to, and well, they’re different to other “jobtitles” and the interaction is one you need to have experience with in order to make calls a success.

Let me set the scene for you. The sort of IT campaign we work on often varies but it includes (and is not limited to)

  • calling for vendors to carry out channel development and recruiting resellers.
  • Calling IT Managers and IT Security Teams, focusing on products and finding out when people are planning projects where they’ll need the product -this is key if you’re calling large companies who are going to invest hundreds of thousands in your product.
  • Then there are the research calls, taking a brand new product to market to see how ready the IT Managers are to embrace it. 10 years ago Unified Communications was laughed at. 16 years ago companies didn’t bother with Anti-Virus because “they’ll never target us, we’re too small”…
  • Smaller quicker win campaigns where you don’t have to explain the concept but it’s all about renewal dates

The approach you’d need on the phone to speak to people in these scenarios is very different.

As an IT Telemarketing specialist I take the time to really learn about the product, and understand your market. I know what works and what doesn’t so I can point you in the right direction before we even pick up the phone. I do carry out telemarketing but you may as well do it using my expertise, and I’m not going to keep quiet and take your money if I can see there’s a better way for us to tackle this. I know how to sell to people and engage them in discussion about their plans and what they think of your product and talk to them in their language. I don’t need to be a techie, but I do need to know enough to sound convincing and usually make meetings for a techie and a sales person to close.

So yes, if you want a really qualified IT specialist telemarketing company, then we’re it but you should also be aware that in reality, IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOU’RE PROMOTING, THE SKILL IS IN HOW TO SELL SOMETHING TO SOMEONE.

If you need help to make those calls for you, or if you need help in making those yourself get in touch on 0800 009 6250.
